Instructor materials for Reason in the Balance are available to qualified course instructors in the electronic file formats noted below, please submit the form below to request the instructor materials.

Available materials:

1) Instructor's Manual (PDF only)

2) PowerPoint Files: PowerPoint slides are available for each chapter, created by the authors, for instructor use in the classroom.

3) Instructor Resources Word File: Includes ten items in a single Word file, (1) argument table template, (2) sample rubric: productive group interaction, (3) sample rubric: peer feedback on identifying an issue, (4) sample rubric: assessing argument table, (5) sample rubric: assessing individual inquiry, (6) sample inquiries with assessment rubrics, (7) productive peer critique, (8) resources on the internet, (9) theoretical foundations, and (10) sample test on first parts of text.

4) Chapter Quizzes: Chapter quizzes are available for each chapter in the book in three formats. (1) Word files, one version with the answers included, and one without. (2) Moodle LMS source files. The chapter quizzes were adapted to the Moodle LMS platform to provide an electronic version of the material with self-correcting questions. The Moodle source files will be delivered in a .zip folder and may be imported into your institution's Moodle LMS platform, or another LMS platform able to use Moodle course files. (3) Canvas LMS source files. The chapter quizzes were adapted to the Canvas LMS. The files are provided in a .zip folder with QTI Canvas files within, able to be imported into a Canvas LMS course as a quiz testbank. Instructors may request one or all of the chapter quiz file options. The chapter quiz content is the same for each of the three file options.
