To Obtain Permission to Photocopy:

To apply to Hackett directly for photocopy permission, please print the form provided below and mail it, with payment, to HPC at the address provided below. For more information, contact the HPC permissions department at

Permissions@hackettpublishing.com. By use of this form, you may photocopy for classroom use from any HPC book not specifically exempted (see below), without writing in advance to request permission.

Restricted Titles:

Portions of certain Hackett titles are excluded from photocopy permission. HPC does not control rights to the entire contents of these books.
Please consult the book for proper rights holder information. For a complete list of restricted titles, click HERE.

The following restrictions apply: A. Photocopies are for classroom use only, and the cost to students does not exceed the cost of reproduction, compilation, and permissions fees. B. Less than 20% of the book is photocopied. C. Permission is limited to one-time use. If the material is used again, permission must be re-cleared by submission of another copy of this form. D. A credit line is attached to photocopies to read: By permission of Hackett Publishing Company, Inc., Indianapolis, IN and Cambridge, MA. E. Use is restricted to teachers in North America. F. Our standard fee of $0.11 per page for printed copies, or $0.12 for electronic copies, is paid within 30 days of the distribution of copies, with a minimum fee of $10.00.
